My husband Michael and I moved to the island in March of 2021. After narrowing our search for a home to our “top 4 musts,” a stones throw from the beach, boat, pool and community. Palm Island met all our needs and we have loved every minute living here.

We live here 10 months out of the year and 2 months in Franklin, Tennessee where we have 4 grown children. In 2013, Michael and I renovated a historic building circa 1876, creating a 3 story restaurant Gray’s On Main, which also houses an award winning bar, music hall and private club. Next door is O’ Be Joyful, your “home town” “speak easy” whiskey & bourbon bar. Both reside proudly on Franklin’s historic Main Street. Before I became a mom in 1996, I was a Critical Care R.N. for 20 years. From 1996-2013 I devoted my life to our 4 children.

An ambassador for downtown Franklin I served 6 years on the Downtown Franklin Association board. During that time I was instrumental in collaborating with Mars Pet Care, to develop a nationwide program, “Better Cities for Pets.” As well as spear head the program “Franklin Locals” where you will see trained volunteers on the streets of DT Franklin daily offering “concierge on the streets” to tourist and locals. Over the years, I have been asked to speak publicly on such topics as how to run small business, entrepreneurship, creating a faith filled work culture and more.

Utilizing all of my God given gifts, creating, organizing, leading, mentoring and teaching, I have developed programs, policies and procedures for our 55 employees and have created a culture one of love, trust, safety, and vision for the future. My passion is to do the same and work along with others here on the island to promote education, wellness and community in a various of different avenues. Therefore, I have been given the task of Community Education and Wellness Chair.

Other “loves” of my life. Our sweet cockapoo Jenni, spending time daily in the Word, working out, walking on the beach, traveling, spending time with dear friends and leading Bible Study.

It is such an honor to serve on the Bocilla Islands Conservancy Board. I look forward to new relationships and seeing how we can serve our community together.
