Lisa grew up in Indian Head, a rural Southern Maryland town. She is the eldest of three children and is married to her high school sweetheart.

Originally from a small town near Buffalo N.Y., Linda discovered Don Pedro Island Fl. in 1974 and moved there in 1979 with her husband and two children.

Barbara was born and raised in New Hampshire. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire, she moved south to Connecticut, where she taught 8th grade English for 30 years. Upon retirement, she moved further south to sunny Florida.

Kim grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida. After graduating from Loyola University in New Orleans with a dental hygiene degree, she practiced for 5 years before deciding to go to dental school and graduated from Loyola Dental School in Chicago. She recently retired from a 40-year dental career in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. Her Florida roots were always with her and she says she feels blessed to have built her dream house on Palm Island 16 years ago. She is now a full-time resident.

My husband Michael and I moved to the island in March of 2021. After narrowing our search for a home to our “top 4 musts,” a stones throw from the beach, boat, pool and community. Palm Island met all our needs and we have loved every minute living here.

Jude Smith is a passionate advocate for preserving our island’s unique ecosystem. With a background in marketing and web development, Jude has always been deeply connected to nature. Early in her career, she owned an outdoor adventure company in San Francisco focused on eco-tourism, where she embraced the role of teacher and guide, sharing her love for the outdoors.

A visionary leader, Kelly has played a pivotal role in cultivating and enhancing the two main parks on the islands: the Artificial Reef and Marine Life Park and the Eco-Educational Island Conservancy Park.

Gisela was born in Germany and lived there until age 6 when she moved to the US where she lived in Illinois and Wisconsin. She attended the University of Hawaii. Gisela worked at the U.S. Postal Service and retired as Postmaster at the Placida, FL 33946 post office.

Cheryl grew up in St. Paul, MN and Peoria, IL. She graduated from Southern Illinois University with a major in Spanish and US History. She attended graduate classes at East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, PA and also at Southern Illinois University.
