Getting There

A Short Ferry Ride to Island Time

Art in the Palms takes place on Palm Island, a unique bridgeless barrier island off the coast of Placida, Florida.  Getting here is simple and part of what makes the day special.

Directions

  • Set your GPS for 2000 Panama Blvd, Englewood, FL 34224
  • From the intersection of 776 and 775 at Merchants Crossing: go 5 miles south on 775 (Placida Rd) to Panama Blvd.
  • From the intersection of 776 and 771 (Gasparilla Rd): go 7.5 miles and continue through light near Boca Grande Causeway for 4 miles north on 775.

Parking

Free parking is available on Panama Blvd and in nearby lots. Please follow posted signs and any on-site directions to ensure smooth traffic flow for everyone attending the event. There will also be some golf carts to help get people from the parking area to the ferry landing.

Ferry Access

Guests will arrive via a short, non-stop ferry ride to Palm Island. The ferry runs continuously throughout the day, making it easy to come and go at your own pace.

  • Ferry Cost: $5 per person, round trip
  • Payment: Collected at the ferry landing
  • Proceeds: Ferry proceeds are donated to the Bocilla Islands Conservancy

Event Location

Art in the Palms is held near the Palm Island ferry landing, so once you arrive on the island, you’re just steps away from the art, music, and food.

  • Wear comfortable shoes and dress for a relaxed outdoor island setting
  • Bring sun protection and plan to spend time exploring
