International Coastal Clean up

We need your help Saturday, September 20, 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Come for any duration during that time.

Share this post with your friends.

Bocilla Islands Conservancy is participating in the International Coastal Cleanup, a global effort to remove marine debris and protect our coastal ecosystems. We are partnering with Keep Charlotte Beautiful, a local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, to support environmental stewardship here in Charlotte County.

Cleanup efforts will take place island-wide, including specific properties, easements, shorelines, and designated areas within the mangroves. If you have debris or materials that need removal, please contact us to see if we can help support your request.

We are working on having Waste Management deliver a donated dumpster. Let’s come together as a community and make an impact on our island and beyond.

Where:
EcoEducational & Island Conservancy Park
160 Gasparilla Way

Check-in starts at 8:00 am, but you can arrive at any time during the event. Join us for as little or as long as you can. Every bit helps.

Please wear sneakers or boots, bring gloves, and a rake if you have one.
We will provide coffee, water, and light snacks.

Appliances, batteries, tires, and auto parts cannot be placed in the dumpster. For more information on excluded items, please click here.

Dumpster location is to be determined.

Thank you for helping protect our coastline and keep our island beautiful.
