Board Meetings
Guest Attendance Policy
The Conservancy Board Meetings are usually the 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 5:30pm. We value community input and welcomes guests to share feedback and perspectives. To ensure Board meetings remain productive and orderly, the following framework has been established.
- Board meetings allow guest attendance for the first 15 minutes of the meeting.
- Attendance is limited to a maximum of three (3) guests per meeting.
- Guests must request to attend at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting and include the subject of their comments so it can be added to the agenda.
- Guests are required to agree to a Board-approved code of conduct prior to attending.
- Guests may speak for up to three (3) minutes.
- There is no discussion or back-and-forth with the Board during the meeting.
- Attendees will be asked to leave after the public comment portion.
- The Board reserves the right to decline any guest request for any reason or to offer alternative ways to provide input.
- The Board may hold executive sessions that do not allow guests.

Guest Code of Conduct
To help ensure Board meetings remain productive, respectful, and focused on the Conservancy’s mission, all guests agree to the following:
- Treat all Board members, volunteers, staff, and attendees with courtesy and respect.
- Address comments to the Board as a whole and refrain from personal attacks, accusations, or disruptive behavior.
- Limit remarks to the approved agenda topic and remain within the allotted speaking time.
- Understand that the public comment period is intended for input, not debate. Board members may choose not to respond or engage in discussion during the meeting.
- Follow the directions of the presiding officer and respect meeting procedures.
- Maintain a professional and orderly atmosphere. Disruptive conduct may result in being asked to leave the meeting and may affect future attendance requests.
- Upon conclusion of the public comment portion, guests will depart promptly and without disruption so the Board may continue its business meeting.
By attending a Board meeting, guests acknowledge and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Failure to do so may result in removal from the meeting and denial of future attendance requests.
