Dock Habitat

$497.00 Original price was: $497.00.$373.00Current price is: $373.00.

Dock Habitats helps restore water clarity in Charlotte Harbor by creating living fish habitat beneath your dock, where snook, snapper, sheepshead, crabs, and baitfish can shelter and breed. Oysters do the filtering work, while the structure rebuilds the food chain that keeps our water clean.

Transform Your Dock into a Thriving Ecosystem – Watch Dock Habitat Underwater VIDEO

Turn an ordinary dock into a living marine sanctuary that helps clean and restore local waterways and Charlotte Harbor.
• Visible impact right under your dock
Improves water clarity and brings life back to the space you see every day.
• Cleaner water for seagrass
Filtering organisms clear the water so sunlight can reach seagrass, strengthening the foundation of the marine ecosystem.
• Living habitat, not empty pilings
Creates shelter and nursery space for fish, shellfish, and invertebrates.
• Support for protected wildlife
Healthier seagrass beds provide essential feeding habitat for species such as manatees.
• Small action with measurable results
One installation contributes to real, local improvements in shallow island waterways.

DOCK HABITAT FAQ

WHAT IS A DOCK HABITAT A dock habitat is a structure installed beneath a dock that creates shelter and attachment surfaces for marine life. It restores habitat in areas where natural shorelines such as mangroves oyster reefs and seagrass have been replaced by docks and seawalls.

WHAT IS THE GATOR DOCK HABITAT
The Dock Habitat is a dock mounted habitat designed to support marine organisms. It creates immediate structure for fish and invertebrates and is suitable for both residential and community docks.

WHAT IS IT MADE OF
The habitat is made primarily of polypropylene stabilized with carbon. It is factory produced for consistent quality and designed specifically for long term saltwater use.

IS IT SAFE FOR THE WATER
Yes. Once extruded the material is inert and releases zero gases into the water. It does not off gas toxins and is stable in sunlight and saltwater.

DOES IT CREATE MICROPLASTICS
No. The material does not become brittle and does not shed microplastics for decades. It outlasts the typical lifespan of a dock.

WHY IS THIS MATERIAL DIFFERENT
Cement can release toxins into the water. Some plastics shed microplastics quickly. The Dock Habitat material remains stable flexible and durable even in harsh marine conditions.

WHAT TYPES OF MARINE LIFE USE DOCK HABITATS
Dock habitats support a wide range of marine organisms including juvenile fish crabs shrimp oysters barnacles sponges and other small reef associated species. These organisms form the base of a healthy marine food web.

HOW DOES A DOCK HABITAT HELP THE ECOSYSTEM
Dock habitats increase biodiversity provide shelter for young marine life and support filter feeding organisms that help improve water clarity and water quality.

IS THE HABITAT DURABLE
Yes. The final production design includes a folded float box that creates multiple internal walls for added strength. Previous wear points have been eliminated and the habitat is designed to withstand hurricanes.
